I’m taking a series of typography lessons for 2 days now, and here is for my Exercise #1 I did earlier today.
Exercise 1: Breaking your own rule.
Aim: Create something that breaks the rule you know about typography and design. You may create something that is complete sane to something that is quite ridiculous (base from your own perception).
Here’s what I did: An article about the birth of Salvador Dali (from Wikipedia) in Old English Text MT, Wingdings2 and 3.
Enjoy.

A 30-minute rush midterm plate for copywriting class.
Our professor gave us a week to work on this one, but the force is strong in procrastination so I did this 30 minutes before the class. But, the best happened. Our professor wasn’t able to attend to all of her class today some unknown reason.
One thing though, I really use Helvetica a lot. I have too much helvetica on my blood that when everytime i think about it, it makes me sad.
will someone recommend a font/typeface site that offers alternative typeface for helvetica or whatever.. someone please T_T
Thank you Jasian for the quick illustration! Yay!!

I’m dropping DOODLEDOO for the moment and will focus on this new brand I’ve came up with last night (thanks to a few friends who helped me think through about this one even though they’re not too serious with the answer when I asked them).
